As my 30th birthday has approached, I have realized how much of a difference a decade makes. (Another duh, right?) I read one of those internet top 10 lists, and I agreed with a lot of them! I looked for it; so I could link it...but I can't find the right one.
But this "Man, I'm getting older" thought occurred to me again this weekend as I left Kroger. Once again, I had a young teenage bagger (I gripe about this a lot to Brian). While I don't necessarily blame the kid - He's young. He probably doesn't grocery shop or cook like I do. He doesn't realize that I've placed my items on the conveyor belt in a certain order. He's in a hurry. etc. etc. Sometimes though, I'd think it's common sense! Don't drop a canned good on top of my tomatoes! Right!? But that's when I realized once again that I'm getting older. At 20, I could have cared less how my groceries were bagged. I was still going to the dining hall - by choice! We had an amazing meal plan at UGA. I still miss it sometimes. So, grocery trips as a 20 year old were few and far between and for something specific, like wanting to make cookies or something like that. Now, 10 years later, I plan a week's worth of meals and shop once for the entire week; preserving my groceries, time, and energy has become a priority. Therefore, I want my groceries bagged well! Here's my list of 30 verses 20:
I'm sure there are others, and I will add to the list as I think of things. I will say that I am content with my life and would not change a thing. I have no desire to go back to 20! Bring on, 30!

Bravo! I love your list - especially that last one. Being in top physical shape is impressive and inspiring. I'll be joining you in the 30s next year, so keep enjoying yourself and know that you're not the only person who puts her groceries on the conveyer belt in a specific order... xoxo
